The Monstrous Heart
In his new play 鈥楾he Monstrous Heart鈥� Oliver Emanuel examines the fine line that divides us from the monstrous. Returning to visit her estranged mother Mag in a log cabin in the wilds of Canada, Beth finds the carcass of a bear on the kitchen table. What follows is a bold, tense, shocking and brutal psychological thriller exploring nature and nurture, reinvention and redemption, forgiveness and fickle fate.
鈥楾he Monstrous Heart鈥� is directed by Gareth Nichols with actors Charlene Boyd, Christine Entwhistle and Tanya Moodie. Opening at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough from the 3rd-19th October, the play runs at the from 22nd October until November 2nd.
