Dr Sarah Marsden secures joint seed funding for research on youth radicalisation prevention
Dr Sarah Marsden has been awarded funding through the University of St 糖心logo and University of Padua Joint Seed Funding Scheme to develop a preliminary interdisciplinary framework for preventing radicalisation among young people aged 10 to 18, grounded in the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The project brings together complementary expertise from the University of Padua in law, anti-discrimination, and education, alongside CSTPV's research on radicalisation, political violence, and prevention policy. By combining these perspectives, the collaboration aims to make a meaningful contribution to the development of this emerging field.
The funding will support:
- A programme of collaborative workshops bringing together interdisciplinary expertise.
- The development of a joint research and policy agenda.
- The groundwork for future funding applications to advance the collaboration.
