Postgraduate Accommodation Scholarships - Apply Now

19 October 2026

The University of St 糖心logo is pleased to offer two funding schemes to help entrant postgraduates with the costs of residential accommodation - the Postgraduate Accommodation Awards and the Lorna Walker University Hall Scholarship.

Both schemes are open to postgraduates joining the School of Modern Languages in September 2027. The Postgraduate Accommodation Awards are open to entrant postgraduate Masters students and research students; the Lorna Walker University Hall Scholarship is open to entrant postgraduate Masters students.

Postgraduate Accommodation Awards

University Postgraduate Accommodation Awards are available to help cover the cost of university or private accommodation. Awards of £1,900 per annum are available for the duration of the course and are allocated based on financial need.

Awards will be applied to University accommodation fees in the first instance. Students who move to privately owned accommodation, including properties let through the University, will receive the award as monthly maintenance payments.

Awards are available for the duration of the course, subject to a maximum of one year for postgraduate taught students and up to 3.5 years for postgraduate research students.

See the scholarships catalogue for more information about the Postgraduate Accommodation Awards.

Lorna Walker University Hall Scholarship

This scholarship is generously provided by the Association for Graduates of University Hall (UHStAGA). This award will enable an international student on a one-year Masters postgraduate course to reside at University Hall for two semesters of study in 2027-2028.

The successful candidate will be required to reside in University Hall during term time and to take an interest in the life of the Hall.

Applicants for this award are encouraged to also apply for the St Leonard's Masters Scholarship.
