SCOTCAT credits

The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

This module will extend students鈥� skills in Hebrew phonology, morphology, and syntax. It consists of the continued introductory study of Hebrew grammar, vocabulary, and reading of a select Hebrew text

  • recognise and analyze the morphology of all types of Biblical Hebrew words (Knowledge and Understanding)
  • read basic Hebrew prose (Discipline Specific and Intellectual Skills)
  • read and translateshort passages in Hebrew(Discipline Specific, Intellectual, and Transferable Skills)
  • demonstrate your knowledge of the language by oral recitation and in writing through written assignments and a final exam (Transferable Skills).
